Where are orange juice pressers mostly used?

Commercial orange juicers are commonly used in various food service establishments such as restaurants, bars, and cafes. Hotels also benefit from orange pressers as they often serve freshly squeezed orange juice during breakfast services.

Automatic orange juicers are frequently found in grocery stores and juice shops that offer freshly squeezed juices and smoothies to customers. These businesses rely on the efficiency and speed of commercial orange juicers to high demand.

Catering services for events and functions that serve fresh orange juice also utilise orange juice makers. Bars and cafes that incorporate orange juice into their cocktails could benefit from an orange juicer as well as restaurants that use orange juice in their dishes and desserts.

What should you look for when purchasing an orange juicer?

Not all commercial orange juicers are the same. Business owners must carefully consider their options to ensure they make the best investment for their needs and budget.

Capacity

The first thing to consider when buying an orange juice press machine is its capacity. If you don’t need a large amount of orange juice, a smaller-capacity juicer should be ideal. However, if your business has a high demand for orange juice, you'll want to invest in a juicer with a larger capacity.

Speed and efficiency

Look for machines that can juice oranges quickly and efficiently, with minimal downtime or maintenance required. This will allow businesses to serve more customers at a time and ensure smooth operations.

Ease of cleaning

It's important to choose a professional orange juicer that is easy to clean and maintain. Look for features such as dishwasher-safe parts or machines with drip trays for easy cleaning. This will save you time and effort in the long run and ensure your machine stays in top working condition.

What are the benefits of a commercial orange juicer?

Orange juicers are versatile appliances that offer many benefits.

Saves time and increases efficiency

One of the main benefits of using an orange juicer is the time it saves in juice preparation. With a commercial orange juicer, you can quickly produce large quantities of freshly squeezed juice without having to manually peel and squeeze each orange. This saves time and increases efficiency by allowing employees to focus on other tasks such as serving customers.

Cost savings

Investing in a commercial orange juicer can save businesses money in the long run. These machines are designed to be durable and long-lasting, which means they require minimal maintenance and replacement costs. By using fresh oranges instead of pre-packaged juice, businesses can also save money on purchasing costly packaged products.

Variety

A commercial orange juicer can add a lot of variety to a business’ menu. Freshly squeezed orange juice can be used in various drinks and dishes, such as cocktails, smoothies, marinades, sauces and desserts. By adding these options to their menu, businesses can attract new customers and provide existing ones with more diverse choices.

What types of orange juicers does Maxima have?

At Maxima, we offer two types of juicers:

Electric orange press:

These practical-sized presses can fit on any countertop and are operated manually. Depending on the model, you can press an orange either by holding it on the press heads with your hand or with a lever. These presses have a powerful motor that can squeeze up to 32 litres of juice per hour. The most compact model has a spout that fits a 12.5cm high glass, while the other models have a height of 19cm. The XL models are available with a splashguard or a handy lever to make pressing even easier.

Automatic orange juicer:

This press makes the juicing task even easier as it automatically squeezes juice from citrus fruit. All you need to do is add the oranges. This machine is equipped with a basket and a convenient feeding system for oranges. The loading capacity of the upper basket starts at 8kg. Even the smallest tabletop model can press 20 to 25 oranges per minute. If you're looking for a larger capacity, our largest model can store 40kg of oranges and easily squeeze 45 oranges per minute. It even has an orange counter to keep track of its performance. The models with a drain tap are perfect for self-service orange juice.

TIP: You can order a stainless steel trolley as an extra accessory to easily move the juicer to and from the kitchen for cleaning. For the self-service models, you may want to consider a bottle rack to keep the bottles neatly arranged and easily accessible.

How to clean an orange juicer

Automatic orange presses have a transparent plexiglass cover, allowing you to see the inside of the machine. Cleaning the cutting and pressing parts is easy since they can be dismantled and put in the dishwasher.

However, to maintain the bright colours of the machine parts, it's recommended to wash them by hand.

Some models have an X-cross system that allows you to remove the entire press mechanism at once. The sliding arm enables you to clean any residue. The waste container and juice filter are also easy to clean.

For the housing and front of the machine, simply wipe it down with a sponge, warm water and a mild detergent. Dry everything with a soft cloth. To ensure good hygiene and product quality, it’s advisable to clean the press at least once a day.

Electric orange presses have minimal parts. The plastic drip tray, filter and spout can be placed in the dishwasher. The aluminium base can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried with a soft towel.
