Chocolate Melters
With this Maxima electric chocolate melter, you always have delicious melted chocolate ready to add to crepes, waffles or desserts. The removable GN containers also make this product perfect for other sauces.
What do you use a chocolate melter for?
Chocolate is a popular ingredient worldwide. However, it must often be melted first before being used in a dish. With Maxima's chocolate melter, this is quick and easy. It can also be used as a sauce warmer.
Because it has been made according to the Gastronorm measurements, you can also use it for more than one product at a time. Maxima's chocolate melters are available in sizes ranging from 2 x 1/3 GN to 6 x 1/6 GN if you want to melt or warm up several portions.
How does a chocolate melter work?
The chocolate melter works like a Bain Marie. First, fill the reservoir with water. Keep the water level between the “minimum” and “maximum” markers inside the reservoir.
Turn on the appliance and set the desired temperature. Wait until the indicator light shows that the correct temperature has been reached. The device is now ready to add your product to the container. The appliance maintains a constant temperature, which prevents the chocolate or sauce from burning or cooking further.
You can adjust the temperature via the easy-to-use display if the contents are too hot or cold. The appliance has a water outlet and steam outlet tap, so you don't come into direct contact with hot water or steam.
How do you clean a chocolate melter?
An important part of a machine’s ease of use is how easy it is to clean the appliance. Thanks to the choice of materials, this machine is easy to clean.
While the appliance is still warm, pour the sauce or chocolate from the GN containers. These containers can then be cleaned using a soft brush or cloth and warm water with a mild (food-safe) detergent.
Since the melter is only filled with water, cleaning it is not usually necessary. First, let the appliance cool down, then drain the water from the reservoir using the handy drain tap. The housing is finished in smooth stainless steel and can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent if necessary.
