How does a soup warmer work?
For the first use, remove the stainless steel inner bowl and fill the outer bowl with water. The minimum and maximum water level is indicated on the inner wall of the kettle. After you have done this, put the stainless steel inner bowl back, close the hinged lid and set the temperature with the dial. The temperature indicator light lets you know when the right temperature has been reached.
It’s important to know that you should use a soup kettle to keep the soup warm. It's not suitable for cooking soup, defrosting or heating food that is cold. For defrosting, many other devices are better suited.

If you want to freeze soup, it's best to do this in small portions. You can do this in a variety of ways, for example by vacuum packing it. Vacuum packing food makes sure that it is packed airtight allowing it to remain fresh up to five times longer than with other packaging options.

It’s very easy to clean a soup kettle. This is because most parts are made from stainless steel, making them dishwasher safe. Unplug the soup kettle before you start and make sure the soup kettle and its contents have cooled down a bit so you don't burn yourself. Remove the inner stainless steel pot from the kettle and put it in the dishwasher, along with the lid. Pour the water out of the bowl and clean the inside with a damp cloth. For the outside, you may want to use a small amount of detergent to remove any spilled food. Dry the entire unit and its parts well before reassembling everything.
