We at Spangenberg International BV (hereinafter: "Maxima", "us", "we" or "our") are happy to have you as a customer. Spangenberg manages the website www.maxima.com.

We want you to know that your personal data is in good hands with us. We handle this sensitive information very carefully and want to be as transparent as possible. That is why we have created this privacy policy so you can see what information we have about you, and what we do with it.

For what purposes do we use your personal data?

Below we have indicated what personal data we have about you, what we do with it and how long the data is kept for. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us. The contact details are at the end of this privacy policy.

Contact

You can reach us by phone, chat, email, the contact form on the website, the warranty and complaint form, Instagram and Facebook. When you contact us, we need information from you (execution of the agreement).

For this, we process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Company name
  • Contact details (email address and telephone number)
  • Address data
  • Social media account
  • Any information you enter yourself as the content of a message

We keep your data for as long as necessary for this contact, or for a maximum of two years after we last had contact with you, because we want to be sure that we have handled your question or complaint properly. This way we can easily access the information for follow-up questions. We keep telephone recordings for 30 days, unless we are legally obliged to keep the conversation for longer.

Account

You can create an account on our website (execution of the agreement). In this account, you can see an overview of the orders you have placed with us and you can add all kinds of information yourself.

For this, we process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Address data
  • Contact details (email address and telephone number)
  • Client number
  • Date of birth
  • Credentials
  • Order history
  • Payment details
  • Any information you add yourself within the account

We keep your personal data until you cancel the account, or for a maximum of two years after you last logged into the account. We then assume that you no longer wish to use our services. We keep some data for longer if we are legally obliged to do so. For example, because of the fiscal retention obligation. The fiscal retention obligation is seven years.

Placing and processing order

When you place an order on our website or enter into a lease contract with us, you leave certain information behind. We need the data in order to execute the lease or purchase agreement that you have made with us.

For this, we process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Company name
  • Chamber of Commerce number
  • Address data
  • Contact details (email address and telephone number)
  • Billing address
  • Payment details

We keep this data for up to two years after the purchase has been made. We keep some data for longer if we are legally obliged to do so. For example, because of the fiscal retention obligation. The fiscal retention obligation is seven years.

Newsletters

You can sign up for our newsletter via our website. In this newsletter, we inform you monthly by email about news, special offers and general information about our goods, services and events.

For this, we process the following personal data:

  • First and last name
  • Email address

We use this information based on your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. The moment you unsubscribe, we will keep your data on our blocked list, so that you will no longer receive mailings after that. 

Reviews 
You have the opportunity to give a review about our services. We use Trustpilot as a third party that places reviews. The reviews can be read on the Trustpilot website. Trustpilot itself is responsible for data processing. If you want to know what they do with your personal data, read the privacy policy on their own website.

Apply
Did you respond to one of our vacancies or perhaps sent in an open application? Then we process your personal data in order to be able to consider your application and to prepare a potential employment contract.

For this we process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Address data
  • Contact details (email address and telephone number)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Motivation letter
  • Passport photograph
  • Salary indication
  • References
  • Any other information you send with your application

We keep your application data for a maximum of six weeks after the position has been filled. We keep this information so that we can contact you in the event that the position becomes available again during the trial period. If we are unable to offer you a position at the moment, we can – with your permission – keep the application data for another year. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email. If you come to work for us, we will keep your application details in the personnel file. This file is kept for as long as necessary and, with regard to the application data, for a maximum of two years after employment.

reCAPTCHA

We use the reCAPTCHA service from Google Inc. (Google) to protect our website from spam and abuse. In order for Google reCAPTCHA to work, the IP address of a website visitor, mouse movements and possibly other data is collected. For this purpose, this information is sent to and processed by Google. By analysing this information, Google can determine whether we are dealing with a real website visitor or a robot. When do we share your personal data with third parties?

We only share your personal data with third parties if this is permitted under current legislation. We may provide your personal data to third parties because:

  • we have engaged them to process certain data;
  • we have a legal basis for this; or
  • we are required to do so by law (for example if the police require this in the event of a suspicion of a crime).

You have the following rights:

  • Right of access: you have the right to view the personal data that we process about you.
  • Right to rectification: you have the right to correct or supplement the personal data that we process about you if it is incorrect or incomplete.
  • Right to object: you can object to the processing of your personal data and to direct marketing.
  • Right to erasure: you can request that we delete your personal data.
  • Right to withdraw your consent: if you have given us permission to process personal data, you can withdraw this permission at any time.
  • Right to data portability: if it is technically possible, you have the right to have the personal data that we process about you transferred to a third party.
  • Right to restriction of processing: in some cases, you can request that the processing of your personal data (temporarily or otherwise) be restricted.

At your request we may ask you to identify yourself. We request data for this to ensure that you are the correct person to whom the personal data belongs.

In principle, we will comply with your request within 30 days. However, this period may be extended for reasons related to the specific rights of data subjects, or the complexity of the request. If we extend this term, we will inform you in good time.
