How do I clean my freezer?

Cleaning freezers and fridges is generally quite simple. The use of stainless steel or metal makes all large surfaces easy to wipe down. For this, a damp cloth with a mild detergent is sufficient. To clean the inside, you first need to defrost the freezer. You do this by unplugging and emptying it of all its contents. You can place your products in a refrigerator while cleaning the freezer.

Maxima's freezers also have a special cooling cycle that reduces the formation of ice. However, this can still occur after a while. You can speed up the defrosting a bit by loosening the ice with a plastic ice scraper. After defrosting, clean the inside using warm water and a little bit of detergent. Use a good quality, microfibre cloth to dry everything again when finished. Turn the freezer back on when everything has dried completely. Put your products back in the freezer a few minutes after turning back it on.
